What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food service cook position at Baxter Health?
SUMMARY :
The Cook is responsible for performing a variety of duties, including, but not limited to, hands on preparation, cooking and serving of all foods for the patients, cafeteria, and doctors’ dining room and catering events.
Participate as part of the production team and supports our mission by providing safe, therapeutic and innovative food to our patients, cafeteria, and catering services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education : High school diploma or equivalent or minimum score of Bronze on the Career Readiness Certification ( CRC ) certificate.

Experience : Minimum six (6) months’ work experience preferred.
Certifications : Certificate of Achievement in Employee Food Safety by ServSafe or achieve within 6 months from date of hire.

Ability to bend, squat and twist, and frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds with proper body mechanics. Spend up to two hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and / or mouse, daily.
Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
