Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) plays a critical role in providing direct patient care and leadership within the nursing team. This position requires utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit and provide leadership within the nursing team.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients served, through the model of Shared Governance.
- Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Requirements:
- Education: ADN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure: Valid RN license in Arkansas or Compact State, in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum of two years experience in nursing, preferably with BSN degree.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS certification within first year of employment.
