SUMMARY:
The Mechanic I must have the ability to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and preventive maintenance schedules.
BRMC COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and adheres to BRMC’s standards as they appear in BRMC's intranet Lippincott Library.
Required to work with the Director of Engineering and Facilities Manager regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the BRMC Engineering Department and the department’s three divisions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in general maintenance, preferably in hospital maintenance.
Certifications: Obtain Industrial Fork lift operators certification within 6 months of date of hire/transfer date. Must be able to acquire an Arkansas Boiler License within one year from start of boiler training. Must obtain and hold an Arkansas Hospital Plumbers license within 2 years of date of hire/transfer date.
Other: Must hold and maintain a current Arkansas driver’s license and a driving record that meets and maintains requirements set forth by the hospital insurance carrier.
Safety Sensitive Designation: This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
