Your role at Baxter
As a Quality Lab Associate you will be responsible for the outgoing quality, safety, and efficacy of product produced at Mountain Home (relative to Chemistry Laboratory analyses) involving complex routine and non-routine testing and validation in the lab.
What you'll be doing
Perform routine chemical raw material testing through final analyses. Testing is process driven involving SOP, JIB, CQP and Spec procedure/guidance
Interpret and analyze results. If any results are out of limit/specifications, initiate and complete an investigation.
Participate in continuous improvement activities, problem solving events, and cross-functional teams requiring independent judgment and decision making for solutions.
Assure compliance of manufacturing and quality control operations per all required procedures, standards and regulations.
Update procedures, conduct routine audits, review of completed chemical testing for compliance.
Initiate investigations, collect all data, make hypotheses, test hypotheses, identify root cause, determine trends, and make recommendations for corrective action/preventative action.
Identify, define and investigate problems relating to product, process and quality systems including out-of-limits situations.
Document results electronically or use other forms of records. Maintain Data Integrity at all times, following Baxter guidance procedures.

What you'll bring
Bachelor of science in science related field (Chemistry Preferred)
2 years' experience preferred
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use other appropriate software.
Basic laboratory skills including mathematical skills for analytical calculations as defined per procedures including basic rounding and significant figure.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $52,800 to $132,000, plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and practices to maintain safety.
Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends.
Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is required.
Position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to perform gowning requirements.
Must be able to wear applicable Personal Protective Equipment.
Position requires handling of laboratory chemicals.
Occasional travel as required.
Must be able to see full spectrum of color.
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
