Job Description
JOB TITLE: Lift Truck Operator/Truck Driver
EXEMPT: No DEPARTMENT: SPECIAL PRODUCTS
SUMMARY: Employee is responsible for all duties associated with the movement of supplies from Special Product warehouses and other material storage locations specific to scheduled production operations involving the safe and efficient operation of fork lifts and single axle trucks by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Determines what specific materials and supplies will be needed for daily production operations through communication with warehouse and inventory managers. Loads onto transport truck necessary materials specific to the processing of a day’s product or products as scheduled through safe and certified operation of pallet jacks, lift trucks and trucks. Transports materials and product to and from Special Product warehouses. Unloads materials through safe use of pallet jacks and forklifts in proper designated areas. Stages loads of finished product for shipment. Receives incoming shipments and unloads materials to proper locations. Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations and use units of American money and weight measurement and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current Oregon drivers license, fork lift safety training certification.
