SUMMARY: Documents all movement of ingredients into and out of the production area to maintain accurate inventory of ingredients for Special Products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assures that ingredient movement is accurately recorded for movement into and out of production areas.
- Works with Materials handlers to document all ingredients taken onto the production floor for use in product production.
- Documents all ingredients returned to storage at the end of production.
- Works with Ingredient Weighers to ensure accurate weights of all ingredients as they are relocated.
- Occasionally weighs ingredients to establish correct weights.
- Performs all functions according to established to Quality Control procedures and schedule.
- Accurately collects, records and files data following established guidelines in prescribed computerized and/or paper-based formats.
- Records ingredient movement, checking ingredient codes to ensure accuracy of product.
- Gathers and reviews ingredient specifications and weights on Recipe from daily production schedules for accuracy of incoming ingredients.
- Inputs records of ingredient movement into computer database via keyboard or hand-held scanner.
- Files paperwork per established process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of computers and accurate keyboarding skills required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents, simple instructions, equipment manuals, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and log information on reports. Ability to communicate in one-on-one situations and in small group situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to read, speak and write English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute averages and round numbers to specified accuracy.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete or abstract variables in standardized situations. Ability to work independently and manage priorities within own job duties.
