About the Role:
As a Registered Veterinary Technician in our Surgery Department, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients and supporting our surgeons through a variety of pre-, peri-, and post-operative tasks.
Key Skills We’re Looking For:
Anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery care
IV catheter placement and patient preparation for surgery
Surgical assistance, including maintaining sterile protocols and managing surgical instruments
Administering medications and treatments as directed
Venipuncture, wound care, and bandaging
Handling in-house lab work and maintaining accurate patient records
Clear communication with clients, including post-op instructions and patient updates
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-operative assessments, including taking vitals and reviewing patient history
Assist surgeons during procedures, following sterile techniques and managing equipment
Provide attentive monitoring of patients under anesthesia and during recovery
Document patient information accurately within medical records
Offer compassionate client communication and education about patient care and post-operative expectations
