Summary: The Practice Manager is responsible for prioritizing, participating, and leading a specific practice. The PMO's primary goal is to ensure that the operations and activities within their practice are running smoothly and efficiently to meet the organization’s goals and objectives. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to building professional doctor relationships, staffing, administrative requirements and reports, quality assurance of services, team meetings and action reporting. This position regularly and consistently demonstrates knowledge of industry and works closely with our internal team, as well as the support team and vendors. The PMO performs his/her duties independently and directly manages and guides staff in related functional areas of Bay Area Kids Dentist.
Pay Range: $70,000-$90,000/year (Based on experience) Bonuses

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead and supervise a team of employees ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Responsible for hiring, training, and developing their team members to ensure they are performing effectively.
- Ensure a high level of patient satisfaction is crucial in this role. PMO will oversee patient service efforts, resolve patient complaints, and implement strategies to improve patient experience.
- Responsible for optimizing the efficiency of practice operations.
- PMOs have budgetary responsibilities. They need to manage expenses, control costs, and allocate resources effectively to achieve financial targets.
- Oversee billing, invoicing, insurance claims processing, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions.
- Ensuring that all operations and activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards is a critical aspect of the role.
- PMOs monitor the performance of their practice against key performance indicators and metrics. They analyze data to identify areas for operational improvement and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Effective communication is vital for a PMO. They need to relay information between upper management and their team, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competition, and local factors that may impact the business.
Education and/or Experience:
- Education equivalent to a College/University Bachelor’s degree in a business or dental related field
- One (1) to three (3) years or more of relevant work experience as an office manager in a dental or healthcare practice
- Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Office and a dental practice program such as Dentrix
- Ability to solve problems by applying basic knowledge and technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot dental systems and technology with the assistance of the IT Department to maintain continuous services in the event of a system issue
