What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver position at Bay Area Rural Transit?
BART is seeking to fill a highly rewarding position of transporting passengers in need. This position is with our new BayCo Door2door shared ride van service transporting passengers within Bayfield County or to Hayward or Ashland. Part time drivers will rotate days on this BART service as needed. Available hours will be discussed with qualified candidates. This service will utilize vans and therefore is a NON-CDL position. The successful candidates will have strong customer service skills and be extremely dependable. Must be able to follow detailed directions. Agility is necessary during securement of wheelchair riders. Candidates must be in good health and are subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Responsibilities include fueling, equipment inspections, some cash handling, providing rides to the public, assisting riders, attending training sessions. Employees must pass criminal background check and random drug and alcohol checks. Must have a dependable vehicle.
