Responsibilities
- Should have knowledge in Civil & Structural engineering including preparation of Design basis, calculation reports and analysis of steel & concrete structures; Understands the needs & rights of other disciplines etc.
- Study of Client Specification, Standard or available Drawings, datasheets of equipment, piping information drawings & 3D model using Navisworks
- Thorough understanding of scope, evaluates efforts, review of inputs & adhere to the schedule
- Must have analysis & design experience on STAAD or RISA
- Should have worked on industrial steel structures like towers, pipe racks, modular steel structures, technology structures, platforms at different levels, stair arrangement etc.
- Independently performed load calculations,
- Design of Foundation and connection details by using spreadsheets
- General Civil Engineering- Site Grading, Roads & Pavements, Tank & Vessel Foundations, Anchor Blocks
- Geo technical & top survey – SOW preparation & reviews & interpretations
- Preparation & review of RFIs, scope of works & specifications
- Should have experience on reviewing plant layout models with any 3D software like Advance Steel, Plant 3D/ CADWorx etc.
- Must be proficient with using Navisworks, AutoCAD
- Proficient with American codes and standards such as AISC, ASCE, ACI etc for Structural Design
- Understand the overall plant topography and be conversant with Engineering & Design activities involved
- Knowledge on connection designs for all types of Steel Structures
- Reviewing & approving the work done by subordinates
- Preparation of Detailed MTO
- Should have experience in handling the drafting team, to check the drawings for quality deliverables
- Proficient in both Imperial & Metric Units
- Good communication skills
