Education: BE/B.Tech/-Instrumentation Engineering

Software Experience/Knowledge

Must have: AutoCAD

Good to have: Autodesk Plant 3D, CADWorx, Intools, Instrucalc

Responsibilities

The Instrumentation Engineer shall be responsible for the following activities but not limited to

  • Preparation & review of Instrument Specifications & Datasheets, Instrument index, I/O list
  • Preparation of all Engineering Documents like Hook-ups, Loop Drawings and Wirings.
  • Preparation of Control valve data sheet, On & Off (MOV) valve data sheets, Relief valve & pressure regulating data sheets
  • Preparation of Field instrument specifications, RFQ & Technical Bid Evaluations.
  • Review of vendor documents
  • Preparation of Materia take-off (MTO) & instrument cable schedule documents.
  • Should have capacity to understand PID and good knowledge of material used for field instruments.
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEC, ISA, ISO Standards and International Codes.
  • Should be experienced working in both FEED & Detail Engineering in Instrumentation
  • Organize meetings with client and vendor for technical clarification/issues
  • Should involve in 3D model review & Inter-disciplinary coordination with Process, Piping & Electrical department
  • Preparation of Cause and Effect
  • Preparation of Specification for DCS, ESD, F&G, and Fire alarm Systems.
  • Working knowledge in Fire/gas and ESD system will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in FAT & SAT & Filed Instruments
  • Proficient in both Imperial & Metric Units
  • Good communication skills
