POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Development Accounts Manager will partner closely with all the areas of the business to successfully grow the customer portfolio while enhancing the customer experience. The BDAM must have very strong business development/relationship building skills to work with construction companies. Success is measured by growth in revenue and onboarding new customers while sustaining and improving margin performance. Prior experience/knowledge of construction is highly desired. A company vehicle may be assigned as part of this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform market research (both online and offline) to identify construction projects. This will be done through developing relationships with constructions companies, transportation authorities, DOT and municipalities.
- Visit customer jobsites and perform job walks.
- Make customer “cold calls” to develop business leads (outside sales).
- Maintain Lead Tracking Logs to record and track business development performance and report to management.
- Navigate construction project “bid boards” searching for construction projects, read Portable Restrooms and Fencing to identify needs, and submit work bids for projects. Strong written communication skills is a must.
- Partner with Estimating to gather all information required to submit accurate Quotes for customers.
- Assist and partner with Dispatch with scheduling services, sales and rental orders.
- Review customer construction projects and suggest solutions for compliance purposes.
- Monitor customer project costs vs customer’s budgets and proactively manage customer expectations. Negotiate Change Orders, as needed.
- Other duties or roles as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in Business Development, Sales or Construction.
- Self-motivated, self-starter, able to work independently and to set their own objectives. Competitive and results oriented with a passion to solve problems and keep customers satisfied.
- Proven track record of success in business development and sales. Very strong customer service skills.
- Excellent listening, negotiation skills. Able to reach win-win solutions and be seen as adding value.
- Strong presentation skills (verbal, written and presentation). Proficient in sending compelling written quotes.
- Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Quote Tools, Customer Relationship Management systems).
- Spanish speaker is a plus.
- Must have valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
