Job Summary :
We are seeking a Full-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at a residential home in Leonardtown, MD. The DSP will be responsible for providing assistance and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them lead a fulfilling and independent life.
Qualifications :
Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance
Must attend and complete required trainings on time
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compassionate and patient demeanor
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Responsibilities :
Assist individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
Implement and document individualized care plans
Provide emotional support and promote independence
Engage individuals in social and recreational activities
Maintain a clean and safe living environment
Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and external support services
Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and agency policies
