Lead Day Porter/Janitor

Bay Contract EH&S’ mission is to develop programs and provide technical consultation to our customers that will foster prudent environmental stewardship and ensure a safe working environment.

We are seeking an energetic and reliable day porter to perform day-to-day building maintenance at our clients facilities. Overall duties will include removing debris, maintaining common room areas, restocking bathrooms and responding to all cleaning emergencies.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. You will work with management to create an effective cleaning schedule, which will include your day-to-day routines and work timetable

An individual who can work independently, while communicating key successes/failures to organizational leadership is key in this role. Physical requirements include but are not limited to continuous standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting; frequent light and moderate lifting; and occasional heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• · Deep cleaning of client facilities; (office/conference rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and other areas per defined scope of work)
• · Cleaning, dusting, & sanitizing of cubicles, kitchen, sinks, counters, paper/soap dispensers, refrigerators, dining areas, restrooms; showers, commodes/urinals and related surfaces.
• ·Ensure client facilities represent a clean, sanitary, & attractive environment, which includes but is not limited to:
• ·Clean up to 7k Sq./Ft. per/hour
• ·Deep cleaning of client facilities; (office/conference rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and other areas per defined scope of work)
• ·Cleaning, dusting, & sanitizing of cubicles, kitchen, sinks, counters, paper/soap dispensers, refrigerators, dining areas, restrooms; showers, commodes/urinals, and related surfaces.
• ·The breakdown and removal of trash, recycling, & compostable materials to appropriate waste bins and replace liners
• ·Dust, sweep, mops floors, and vacuum all carpets
• ·Keeps janitorial closet, supplies, & equipment in a clean, orderly, and stocked fashion
• ·Order and restock supplies in breakrooms, restrooms, and other common areas
• ·Participate in all applicable job-related safety training courses, and/or certifications programs
• Maintain a strong and professional relationship with clients.
• Must be able to communicate professionally with other Day Porters and Janitors on site.
• Report concerns/suggestion/client requests to area supervisor.
