Job Summary:The Intensive Residential Clinician provides clinical assessment, safety and treatment planning,individual and group treatment, to Persons residing in an Intensive Behavioral Group LivingEnvironment (IBGLE) as well as providing clinical training and supervision of direct care staffregarding the proper implementation of clinical interventions. The Intensive ResidentialClinician contributes to Bay Cove’s mission by ensuring that the IBGLE provides thoughtful andresponsive treatment to Persons so that they can build skills and and engage meaningfullytowards greater independence. This is an exempt position. Supervisory Responsibilities:● As designated by the IBGLE Clinical Program Manager (CPM)Essential Functions of the Position:● Engage, build relationships, and empower Persons residing in the IBGLE to activelyengage in services by identifying personal goals, determining motivators, and supportingindividuals to improve health and wellness, strengthen self-management of symptoms,and pursue their personal goals.● Conduct and document clinical and risk assessments, develop safety and treatment plans,and select and implement clinical interventions designed to assist Persons residing at theIBGLE to maintain community tenancy and move toward greater independence.● Responsively adjust the frequency, duration, and types of supports in to suit Persons’changing needs, interests, and preferences.● Actively collaborate with the IBGLE team and externally with Persons extendedtreatment teams, identified and authorized natural supports, and Care CoordinationEntities in order to best support each Person.● Provide clinical oversight of the IBGLE’s treatment and support services in conjunctionwith the CPM.● Train and supervise IBGLE direct care staff regarding on therapeutic skills andinterventions, as well as clinical documentation skills, via individual and group trainingas needed.● Provide crisis assessment, prevention, and needed intervention during the work day andwhile on-call on nights and weekends as scheduled.● Utilize recovery-oriented language and principles in all communication and interactionswith Persons, colleagues, and collaterals. Requirements for the Position:● LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, or other behavioral health category which qualifies as aLicensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts required.● At least two years of related experience.● Strong commitment to the right of each Person with mental health challenges to live incommunity residences, to work in market jobs, and to have access to helpful, adequate,competent, and continuous supports and services of their own choosing.● Demonstrated professional communication and organizational skills.● Demonstrated expertise in developing and writing assessments and treatment plans.● Proficiency in word processing and other computer functions using Windows, Word, andGoogle Email and Apps.● Department of Public Health certification in medication administration required within 3months of hire.● Flexibility to work evenings and weekends on an as needed basis.● Ability to climb stairs and carry up to 40 pounds, as well as the physical capacity toassist people with mobility impairments as needed.● Valid driver's license.● Use of personal cell phone for work purposes.● Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
