As a member of the multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Integration team, the On Site Overnight Security Navigator welcomes Persons, staff and guests to the Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center by providing a positive, professional and respectful presence at all times. The Security Navigator serves as a community diplomat and represents the Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center as a good neighbor and responsive community partner. This is a non-exempt position.

Essential Functions of the Position:
- Maintains awareness of activity surrounding the building, inside the building, stairways and hallways within the building to ensure a calm environment on the campus and within the building.
- Supports other staff in seeing that guidelines in place for the programs and the site are observed and that all persons present act as good collaborators and neighbors.
- Intervenes in situations requiring support beyond program staff using good judgment, communication skills, de-escalation techniques, and calling upon emergency services as needed.
- Ability to interact with multiple program directors at the site in a collaborative and responsive manner.
- Is dependable and reliable.
- Attends required training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong commitment to the right of each Person with mental health challenges to live and work in their community, and to have access to helpful, adequate, competent, and continuous support and services of their own choosing.
- Professional writing and verbal communications skills.
- High degree of personal organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in word processing and other computer functions using Windows, Word, and Google Email and Apps.
- Use of personal cellular telephone for work communication.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, pay differential offered for candidates with fluency in certain essential languages.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work during inclement weather.
