Position: Game Day Operations Staff
Reports to: Operations Coordinator
Pay Rate: $20/hour, Part Time, Seasonal
Position Summary
Bay FC is seeking Game Day Operations Staff to join our team to play an important role in preparing the stadium for game days and ensuring the smooth execution of game operations needs. Staff are responsible for performing various tasks including the physical setup and breakdown of facilities and equipment and the execution of in-game elements.
Key Responsibilities:
Set-up Crew
- Distribute daily credentials from will call
- Assist Bay FC front office staff and partners with load-in and load-out
- Set up furniture, signage, field equipment, partner activations and other elements as needed
Red Hat
- Convey TV producer's signals to referee for start and stop of game
- Inform TV producer of any injuries or other necessary notes
Game Production Coordinator
- Meet with Red Hat for any timing issues or changes
- Make calls to referee, visiting team liaison and home team liaison for game production timing
- Make calls to control room and press box for any in-game infractions, i.e. yellow cards, red cards and substitutions
Referee Liaison
- Manage needs of the referees while at PayPal Park
- Set up referee locker room
- Work with Bay FC staff to provide referees with equipment and other necessities
- Stand near the 4th Official’s table throughout the match
Ball Kid Supervisor
- Provide instructions to and manage Ball Kids throughout the game
- Keep track of all game balls
- Assist with retrieving and returning balls back into play or to designated ball stands
- Assist the Visiting Team Liaison with locker room set up and tear down
Visiting Team Liaison
- Manage needs of the visiting team while at PayPal Park
- Organize Gameday Ops staff to set up visiting locker room and team bench areas
- Stand near but separate from the visiting team bench throughout the match
- Contact Bay FC staff with any issues with the visiting team
*Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to communicate clear and concise messages over a radio.
- Ability to work in extreme pressure situations, be flexible and make changes on the fly.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs, walk, stand, and move around the stadium for extended periods during events.
