Position Summary
Bay FC is a dynamic and data-driven sports organization focused on achieving on-field success and exceeding fan expectations. We want to leverage cutting-edge technology and analytics to gain a competitive advantage and make informed decisions across all aspects of our operations. This full-time position reports to the Manager, Business Intelligence.
You will play a key role in supporting our club’s business analytics, insights, and data infrastructure. In addition to helping maintain our data tools and services, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions that provide actionable insights to improve our performance across all departments, including:
- Ticketing: Pricing, lead management, consumer behavior analysis, and demographic insights
- Partnership: Brand research, partnership performance measurement, sales, and recap deck building
- Marketing: Campaign performance measurement, website, and social platform analytics
- Fan Experience: Gameday operations analysis, fan surveying
- Merchandise: Consumer behavior insights and product analysis
- Software/Systems: support of CRM, data visualization, and sponsorship measurement systems
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the club’s data infrastructure, including data warehousing, API feeds, and software platforms
- Develop custom visualizations, automated reports, and dashboards utilizing data pipelines
- Ensure CRM systems are optimized for ticketing and partnership teams to seamlessly operate inbound and outbound activities, pipelines, and current client management
- Support annual ticket and renewal pricing modeling
- Drive sponsorship measurement process and integrate data into new business sales and existing partner recap decks
- Design and implement data-driven solutions to address specific business challenges and opportunities
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to translate data into actionable insights
- Communicate data insights effectively to leadership and other stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in business analytics, business intelligence, data engineering & insights, or similar roles; preferably with a professional sports team
- Experience with programming language (e.g., Python), statistical software (e.g., R), database languages (e.g., SQL), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing data-driven solutions
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Passion for sports and understanding of the sports industry
- Experience with tools and platforms (currently Salesforce, KORE, AWS, Archtics, Tableau, and Relo Metrics)
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and modeling techniques
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $90,000-$100,000. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.
