Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in servicing marine equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various marine systems while providing exceptional customer service. The Marine Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in marine vessels.
  • Perform routine maintenance on engines, electrical systems, and rigging.
  • Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter to test electrical components and troubleshoot issues.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and functions.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Assist in the sales of parts and services to customers, ensuring they receive the best solutions for their marine equipment.
  • Conduct heavy lifting as required during repairs and installations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a service technician in the marine industry is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in repairing marine equipment.
  • Familiarity with rigging systems and electrical troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as part of daily duties.

Pay: $27.04 - $28.78 per hour
