The Maintenance Technician plays a hands-on role in keeping BHYC’s buildings, grounds, and public areas well-maintained and presentable. This position performs routine maintenance, landscaping, and repairs while assisting with event setup and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Strong organizational skills and a commitment to high standards ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and guests. This role requires teamwork, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to maintenance and facility care. We are looking for part-time Maintenance Techs with an estimated start date of early May.

Job Duties:
- Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club’s PM procedures.
- Assist Maintenance Technicians with repairs as needed.
- Attends departmental staff meetings.
- As directed follows processes and procedures for preventative maintenance programs and routine repair work in support of facility related operations on and around the BHYC property
- Water all flowered areas on a consistent basis as directed.
- Empty trash, shovel, and perform light maintenance or repair duties using saws, blowers, mowers, drills or other hand tools.
- Regularly treat weeds for weed control, weed whip, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trim shrubs and hedges, cut and remove tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, and perform other lawn care services as necessary.
- Pick-up trash and debris from common areas and streets on a daily basis. Empty common area trash containers as needed.
- Report all resort maintenance issues and concerns identified while performing daily duties to Director of Facilities.
- Ensure BHYC is presentable at all times and adheres to BHYC's curb appeal standards.
- Assist with set-up of Events during summer season according to table diagrams
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- 3-6 months experience required
- 1-2 years experience in maintenance field or related areas preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree in related field preferred
Job Competencies:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize work activities within project and operations required
- Strong interpersonal skills required
- Chauffeurs license preferable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
