What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hardware Retail Sales Associate position at BAY HARDWARE?

Our hardware store has been a fixture in their community for almost 100 years. We are looking for a part time (~24-30 hours) or full time Hardware Sales Associate (~40-hours) with open availability. The store is open Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm, Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 9am-5pm. Multiple benefits available after probationary period (benefits may vary based on part or full time). We're looking for someone long-term and reliable, to become a part of the team. Bilingual is a plus. **Previous hardware experience and comfort with computer software is preferred.** We will train you on our POS computer system (Epicor Eagle Browser) as well as store procedures and policies. If you want to learn something new every day and become part of a growing family business, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- -CUSTOMER SERVICE is first and foremost!! Greeting customers and answering questions
- -Learning product/item location and use, ability and desire to learn about new things
- -Receiving and stocking items
- -Ordering stock and custom merchandise
- -Cashiering
- -Inventory Maintenance
