Bay Human Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician with skills in basic repair and maintenance of building exteriors and interiors as well as knowledge of safe work practices and policies. This position will perform a variety of semi-skilled construction, maintenance, modification, and repair activities in Bay Human Services buildings. Qualifications:
- One year of assignment related maintenance experience
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Able to pass criminal background check
- Must have your own tools
Jobs/Shifts:
- Part Time – 20 hours a week
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Perfeorm a variety of semi-skilled construction, maintenance, modification, and repair activities in Bay Human Services buildings.
- Will receive work orders from and respond in a timely manner to the site which is designated in the work order.
- Complete a timecard as instructed by the Regional Manager and perform other duties as directed.
- Notify the site Manager if required to leave the site and will estimate the time of return.
- Assess the needed repairs, procure needed materials, and complete the repair in a timely manner.
- Consult with the Regional Manager when a job requires significant expenditures or appears to require repairs beyond the scope of general maintenance.
- Respond to crisis/emergency maintenance situations in addition to the regularly scheduled times and number of hours.
- Adhere to all Bay Human Services policies and procedures and rules.
Essential Job Functions - Physical Requirements:
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job including stooping, bending, turning, stretching, lifting, and moving equipment.
- Ability to work in an environment that generates ongoing noise from individual(s), audio devices, equipment, etc.
- Onsite work required. Required to work variable hours/ shifts.
- Use and provide varied hand and power tools. Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds
- Must possess strength and stamina and mobility to perform job duties in all weather conditions.
