What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Entry I position at Bay Ltd.?
Job Summary :
The Data Entry I will be responsible for the validation of job cost distribution for the requisition process and accurately logging information into the computer system.
Essential Functions :
Log electronic requisitions into the company purchasing order system
Complete requisitions in purchase order system as required
Communicate with external team members to resolve issues with requisition submissions
Validate job cost distribution for requisition processing
Verify completed work for accuracy and make required changes immediately
Distribute completed and signed purchase orders to appropriate departments and vendors
Enter completed requisition information into system log daily and file upon completion
Maintain requisition files in the department including but not limited to requisitions and purchase order acknowledgements and locate files when requested
Assist purchasing manager with purchase order information as needed
Issue field purchase order books
Maintain office supplies
Distributes office mail
Generate and maintain accurate job aid for duties assigned
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Education and Experience Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 1 year experience in job related duties
Skills / Key Competencies :
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with visitors and employees at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
Ability to multi-task
Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Ability to learn systems in order to complete tasks
Physical Requirements :
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting and / or standing constantly
Will work in an office setting (indoors) the majority of the time but may need to visit other areas
Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (e.g. calculator, copy machine, printer)
Constantly perform repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and / or fingers
Frequently communicate with other members of the team. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner
Light work that includes moving and / or lifting objects up to 20 pounds
