Job Overview:
We are seeking a full-time dedicated Preschool Director to lead our well-established neighborhood preschool, serving children aged 6 months to 5 years in the Clairemont/Pacific Beach area. Our preschool is an early childhood learning center with a strong reputation among parents and elementary schools in the community. Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership
- Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum and programs that align with Bay Park Early Learning Center’s mission and values.
- Foster a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for children, staff, and families.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and support a team of educators and staff members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
- Cultivate a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, staff, and the broader community.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families, addressing questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Organize events and initiatives that foster a sense of community and shared purpose.
Administrative Oversight:
- Manage budgets, enrollment, and compliance with local and state regulations.
- Ensure the school operates efficiently and effectively, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children, staff, and school operations.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements in education administration.
Advocacy and Innovation:
- Advocate for the importance of early childhood education within the community.
- Stay informed about industry trends and implement innovative practices to enhance the preschool experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience in Leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, staff, and operational systems, preferably in an educational setting.
- Passion for educating young children and commitment to fostering their growth and development.
Pay Range:
- $65K - $72K a year (Salaried Position)
