What are the responsibilities and job description for the LUNCH MONITOR position at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School?
REPORTS TO: Food Services Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Food Services Director, the Lunch Monitor helps to maintain order and cleanliness in the cafeteria during meal service. This role also assists with kitchen operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Monitor and assist with student behavior during meal service, reporting any concerns to the administrators on duty.
Encourage students to keep the cafeteria clean by clearing tables, disposing of trash, and returning trays.
Maintain order as students are getting their lunch and when they are leaving the cafeteria.
Assist with cleaning tasks, including washing and sanitizing tables between lunch service as needed.
Support kitchen operations by helping with food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning pots and pans, sweeping floors, and performing other general cleaning duties as required.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or their designee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to positively and professionally communicate with students and staff.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to multi-task and collaboratively work with students, staff, and administration.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a part time position and there aren’t any benefits associated with this position.
Hours: 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM when school is in session.
HOURLY RATE:
$18.58 per hour
