REPORTS TO: Vocational Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School is seeking qualified substitute instructors for our vocational/technical programs. Bay Path offers the following program areas: Advanced Manufacturing, Automotive Collision Repair & Refinishing, Automotive Technology, (BEAM) Business, Entrepreneurship, & Marketing, Building & Property Maintenance, Cabinetmaking, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Drafting, Electrical, Electronics, Graphic Communications, Health Technology, HVAC/Refrigeration, (ISSN) Information Support Services and Networking, Masonry, Metal Fabrication, Plumbing, Programming & Web Development and Veterinary/Animal Science.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Reports to the Main Office prior to 7:10 AM, and then reports to the assigned area before school begins; secures necessary assignments, rosters with ID numbers, and sub-folder.
Studies and follows the teacher’s lesson plans.
Records accurate pupil attendance according to stipulated directions and contacts the Main Office with an absentee list of students.
Strives to attain a regular disciplined pattern of classroom operation, including no cell phone use. Reports on student discipline concerns to the Assistant Principal's Office.
Monitors the use of all school equipment and materials. Reports safety concerns.
Reports all accidents to the program Department Head and Vocational Director.
Notifies the Nurse of student illnesses or accidents.
Ensures the shop area/classroom is neat and orderly at the end of the day.
Provides a daily summary to the Teacher of work covered, student behavior etc.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity of rules and regulations pertaining to fire and safety drills posted in the area.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma required.
Chapter 74 Vocational Educator Licensure required.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
On Call / As Needed
SALARY RANGE:
Non Certified: $130.00 Per Day
Certified:$150.00 Per Day
