Job Title: Strategic Partnership Development Director
Bay Path University is a dynamic institution dedicated to providing a practical, affordable, and career-oriented education. As a Director of Strategic Partnership Development, you will play a crucial role in expanding the Office of Partnership Development's portfolio of public/private partnerships and fee-for-service programs. Your primary responsibility will be to prospect, cultivate, and manage strategic non-profit, government, and corporate relationships to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed annual targets set by the VP of Strategic Partnerships.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in sales and business development, with experience in establishing partnership opportunities, cultivating business development that advances the work aligned with our mission, and coordinating internal stakeholders in support of OPD initiatives. You will serve as the administrative manager for ongoing partnerships and associated activities for the Partnership team and as a key agent in identifying and establishing partnerships in Eastern Massachusetts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive revenue through partnerships to meet or exceed annual growth targets
• Conduct research to qualify new business lead opportunities via online, networking sources, and industry publications
• Collaborate with the VP of Strategic Partnerships to expand the University's portfolio of products designed to meet industry/employer skills gaps, training, and development needs
• Participate in the development and implementation of new portfolio offerings and associated marketing strategies
• Represent the University at trade, industry, business, and professional affinity group association meetings and conferences as applicable
Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of sales and business development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Demonstrated success in a multidisciplinary, deadline-driven team environment
• Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, excellence, and honesty
• Strong project management expertise, detail oriented with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Skill in negotiating business deals
• Skill in working in ambiguous, complex, and rapidly changing environments
• Community and industry-based professional experience in Western Massachusetts
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Basic understanding of, and ability to create and assess, project business plans
• Ability to think creatively and analytically
• Experience with social media and its utilization for marketing and maintaining business relationships
• Fluency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel between Longmeadow and Boston campuses for meetings and events as needed
