Maintenance Technician (Roving)

This position is for a roving maintenance technician who is willing to travel between our 4 locations in the Tampa Bay area to complete maintenance and upkeep tasks. (Clearwater/St. Pete, Ybor City, Trinity and Wesley Chapel)

The ideal candidate would have extensive HVAC experience to maintain our HVAC_ units at each location. _

Job description

Bay Paws Pet Resorts are luxury pet resorts offering boarding, daycare, and grooming services.

The Maintenance role has direct responsibility to ensure the the facility is well maintained, safe, clean and aligned with the standard level of Bay Paws operations. Duties will include facility and grounds maintenance and repairs and facilitation of equipment maintenance and repairs. This position does not require interaction with animals, although the ideal candidate should be comfortable being around dogs & cats. Must have your own tools and be able to troubleshoot and fix issues independently.

Specific Responsibilities

Complete facility maintenance and repairs such as but not limited to:

- Replace HVAC filters, flush drain lines, keep HVAC units in good condition

- Maintenance and upkeep of cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, laundry equipment, dishwasher, etc.

- Patching and Painting

- Light carpentry, including repairs to FRP, door frames, etc. due to damage from pets

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

· Maintenance experience required. HVAC experience is a major plus!

Essential Job Functions

· Bend, stop, crouch, climb, stand, sit, walk, and turn/pivot throughout an 8-hour shift.

· Lift /lower, push, pull, and carry at least 50 pounds at a time throughout an 8-hour shift.

· Lift packages to heights above shoulder and lower to foot level

· Reach, grasp, and maintain control of items and materials used to perform activities associated with delivering and picking up packages.

· See, hear and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions and communication with the public

· Maintain an acceptable work pace.

· Work in an environment that will contain variable temperatures and humidity, outside weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust/dirt, confined work areas.

· Demonstrate cognitive ability to: follow directions and routines, work independently with appropriate judgment, exhibit spatial awareness, read words and numbers, concentrate, memorize, recall, identify logical connections and determine sequence of response. Maintain proactive approach to facility and team needs.
