Bay Ridge Assisted Living Center is looking for a compassionate individual with a positive attitude to join our culinary staff!
Purpose : Culinary Aid supports the kitchen staff in the preparation and delivery of nutritious and appealing meals for residents of the assisted living facility.
The role includes assisting with meal service, food preparation, cleaning, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
This position requires a passion for food and a commitment to providing excellent service to elderly residents.
Pay Range : $15-$17.50 / hour

Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking, following established recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Prepare food items such as salads, desserts, beverages, and garnishes.
- Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and in an appealing manner.
- Set up and clean dining areas, ensuring all tables are properly set and ready for service.
- Serve meals to residents according to their dietary needs and preferences, ensuring accuracy of orders.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and food prep areas.
- Assist in organizing and storing food supplies, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Help with washing dishes and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area.
- Communicate any resident food preferences, restrictions, or allergies to the kitchen team.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
