We have an amazing Physician Assistant opportunity in our medical dermatology practice. Bay Ridge Dermatology is seeking a Physician Assistant who is dedicated to dermatology, compassionate with patients, hardworking and driven individual to complement the team and our company's culture. Position Summary
The PA will consult with patients and treat skin conditions. The candidate will be required to work 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. We may also consider strong candidates looking for part-time.
Work Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a medical dermatology practice is preferred.
- Experience maintaining and updating a patient’s medical record using software/online tools. (Our practice uses eClinicalWorks.)
- Experience with both medical and cosmetic consultations is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Physician’s Assistant License in accordance with New York state regulations.
- Medical Dermatology Practice experience preferred.
- Ability to listen and gain the confidence of patients.
- Energetic team player.
- Open to receiving advice and constructive criticism.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn new techniques as it pertains to the practice.
- Willingness to move quickly, be on one’s feet for extended periods of time, and manage staff and tasks effectively as part of the day-to-day operations of a busy dermatology practice.
- Fluent in English, with excellent writing and grammatical skills. Being fluent in Spanish and/or Chinese would be a bonus.
Position Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat a wide range of skin conditions.
- Chart all consultations, procedures, recommendations, and follow-up care in eClinicalWorks.
- Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all relevant regards.
