What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Cleaner position at Bay Shore Inn?
Looking to hire housekeepers for duties that include but not limited to the following:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Moves and arranges furniture.
- Turns mattresses as required.
- Replaces batteries in TV remote controls
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork and furniture.
- Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet. Keeps linen closets clean and organized and keep door locked when not in use.
- Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
- Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required.
- Supplies own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
- Deliver high chairs, baby cribs, flowers, wedding gifts and etc. to guest rooms.
- Clean swimming pool areas and bathrooms.
- Clean game room and fitness center.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.
- Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replaces light bulbs.
- Clean Kitchen area in unit replenishing dish soaps, coffee,
condiments, towels and dishwashers must be emptied after each
use.
- Makes sure guest book, VCR and whirlpool directions and other promotional material is neat and accounted for.
- Responsible for keeping unit inventory current and reports
anything damaged immediately.
After 60 days of employment, $1.00 raise guaranteed. Tips are also received.
