Join our team as a Community Based Family Therapist and provide family-centered, strength-based and solution-focused family therapy treatment. Work with the whole family, not just the referred youth, by providing intensive family therapy to assist families in overcoming past trauma and coping with symptoms of mental health conditions. Services are driven by the needs and preferences of the child and family, developed in partnership with families, and accountable to families. All new clinicians receive valuable and comprehensive training with an independently licensed clinical supervisor before working on their own.
This full time, salaried position allows you to create your own work schedule with opportunities to complete clinical documentation at home, you will receive free weekly clinical supervision for licensure with ample resources and training opportunities available to foster success in this role. There is potential for job growth and advancement opportunities in clinical supervision and program management roles within Bay State Community Services.
What you will be doing to make a difference:
• Facilitate family therapy sessions
• Make authentic connections with youth and families in their communities
• Advocate for services and support for the youth and families in areas of health, education, vocation, legal and family interactions
• Provide culturally competent case management services
• Collaborate with various youth-serving systems
• Work with the entire community-based team to complete trauma-informed clinical assessments and treatment plans
• Driving is required

Extensive Training Program
BSCS believes in investing in our staff and offers a comprehensive weekly Professional Development and Growth Seminar with your colleagues. These seminars are designed to assist with competencies needed for your license. Topics include Diagnosing, Ethics and Boundaries, Clinical Considerations, Substance Use Disorder Treatment to name a few. These seminars are facilitated by seasoned clinicians. In addition, BSCS offers extensive training in Evidence Based Practice including Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Services, and Substance Use Disorder Treatments.
At BSCS we are committed to developing you in becoming a well-trained and skilled clinician. As part of this position, you have access to the weekly Professional Development Seminars facilitated by seasoned clinicians in small cohort groups that offer intensive training on diagnostic criteria, evidence-based practices, trauma and much more. This training series is designed to prepare you for the LMHC and LICSW licensing test.

Requirements
• Master’s degree in mental health fields such as Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Clinical Psychology etc., with plan to obtain license (i.e. LMFT, LICSW, and LMHC).
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in child and family treatment (assessment, treatment planning, outcome measurement)
