Job Summary:
As a Parent Aide, you will work directly with families to provide support, guidance, and assistance to help parents develop effective parenting skills, connect with community resources, and address any challenges they may face.
What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference...
- Provide home based support for families involved with the Department of Children and Families including but not limited to parenting support, child development support, domestic violence and substance use support, executive functioning support, organization, and budgeting.
- Occasional transportation of program participants required
- Navigate community resources and support for families and support them through referral and intake processes
- Maintain documentation and accurate record keeping
- Care coordination with the Department of Children and Families and other service providers
- Facilitate groups and community events as needed
- Driving is required

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a Human Services field preferred, or 5 years experience in Human Services
- Lived experience in areas of parenting, substance use (recovery), domestic violence, or other related areas preferred
