JOB POSITION:
Fits and assembles machined parts and castings into the final product according to drawings and specifications, using machine tools, power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments: Observes functioning of unit and instruments to adjust alignment and clearances and to assure operation according to specifications. Deburr, buff, and/or polish parts as needed. Properly package products and prepare for shipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble machined components into final product by following Assembly Process Instructions.
- Perform Deburring/Buffing/Polishing operations.
- Properly package and prepare for shipment of final products by following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Complete daily production logs and inventory control slips.
- Communicate with other operators.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Turn off equipment when not in use.
- Perform back up for Shipper/Receiver.
- Keep the Front Office up to date on low inventory for stocked items.
- Assist in counting inventory as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing preferred, but not required.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and assembly tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Quickly able to learn new computer skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
