Job Title : Program Quality Engineer – GEOXO Program
Location : Highlands Ranch, Colorado (Hybrid Schedule Preferred)
Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Program Quality Engineer to support the GEOXO program. The successful candidate will lead quality assurance initiatives, including mission assurance planning, supplier engagement, and production oversight, to ensure the successful assembly and testing of satellite systems. This role involves driving process improvements, managing nonconformances, and supporting key design and review milestones.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Mission Assurance and Requirements Development :
- Define and develop core program mission assurance requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure adherence to program quality standards.
2. Design and Specification Support :
Conduct drawing reviews and support the development and release of specifications.Provide guidance during production, supply chain, and final satellite vehicle assembly and testing to ensure mission success.3. Supplier Quality Engagement :
Oversee supplier quality processes, addressing and resolving key quality issues.Engage with suppliers to ensure compliance with program quality requirements.4. Root Cause and Corrective Action :
Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and address process deficiencies.Implement effective corrective actions to improve overall quality and reduce risks.5. Process Analysis and Improvement :
Analyze processes using Lean Six Sigma principles to identify trends and reduce variation.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process consistency.6. Review Support :
Provide quality oversight and input for Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR).7. Document Development and Review :
Lead and contribute to the development and review of Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWI).Develop and review test procedures to ensure quality and reliability.8. Nonconformance Management :
Manage nonconformance processes, including leadership of Problem Reports (PR), Material Review Boards (MRB), and Failure Review Boards (FRBs).Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in quality assurance within aerospace, satellite systems, or a related industry.Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and quality improvement techniques.Demonstrated ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Familiarity with satellite production, supply chain management, and assembly / testing processes.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.Preferred Qualifications :
Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).Experience managing supplier quality and nonconformance processes.Previous experience supporting NASA or aerospace quality programs.Work Schedule :
In-person support at the Highlands Ranch, Colorado facility is preferred 2 days per week, with the possibility of remote work.Why Join Us?
