Job Summary:
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Structures Engineer to provide GeoXO Structures Engineering support through Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR). This role requires expertise in CREO Drawing and Release, EPDM, and DOORS, as well as spacecraft integration, clearance validation, and structural analysis. The selected candidate will be responsible for maturing CREO CAD models, performing interface checks, and developing key engineering documentation to support program milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support CREO CAD model integration and engineering maturation from PDR to CDR level.
- Conduct trades and integration of the GeoXO spacecraft in CREO, ensuring interface specification alignment and model clearance checks.
- Perform Interface Control Document (ICD) validation checks to support spacecraft integration development for PDR and CDR.
- Develop and formally release the GeoXO Critical Clearance List and Model Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) for customer review at PDR and CDR milestones.
- Develop and formally release the GeoXO "Field of View" Analysis Report CDRL, ensuring it is available for PDR (June 2025) and CDR (June 2026).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in spacecraft structures, integration, or mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CREO for drawing, modeling, and release processes.
- Experience with EPDM (Engineering Product Data Management) for document and model control.
- Working knowledge of DOORS for requirement tracking and validation.
- Strong understanding of interface specifications, clearance validation, and spacecraft structural integration.
- Ability to develop, track, and formally release engineering documentation for PDR and CDR milestones.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting NASA, NOAA, or space-based hardware programs.
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin’s engineering and design standards.
- Experience in Field of View analysis and clearance validation.
