Are you ready to grow your leadership skills and make a direct impact? Do you value working in a company that values teamwork and a family-like environment? Bay Towel has an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Department Team Lead. This role follows a Monday-Friday schedule, 12:45 pm-9:15 pm.
Essential Functions:

- Helps production team members achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
- Actively focused on safety and provides a safe environment, daily
- Enforces company policies and guidelines
- Hire, train, and coach employees
- Assists team members by offering personal growth opportunities
- Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
- Ensures that production plans are completed on or before deadlines
- Contacts appropriate resources for repair issues
- Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
- Documents and resolves any issues or disputes between team members
- Creates and maintains production schedules
- Communicates with and assists other production departments as needed
- Evaluates and monitors the condition of production equipment
- Maintains a clean and ergonomically friendly environment for all team members
- Compiles and analyzes production records
- Willing to work alternate shifts to ensure training and efficiencies are being met
- Has a “team-first” attitude in all that they do, with focus on people & process
- All other duties as assigned

Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of 50 plus direct reports.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is on a production floor that is not climate controlled.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly standing and walking for the majority of the work day. However, moderate sitting is expected as well. Must be able to traverse the production facility. Also, must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time , non-exempt position working 40 hours a week. Overtime as necessary.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Excellent coaching and communication skills
- Broad knowledge of production planning processes
- Strategic planning skills
- Comfortable working in a diverse production environment
- Able to handle complex issues in a fast-paced setting
Preferred Education & Experience
- Associates Degree or Certifications in related field.
- Previous supervisory experience of 3 years
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Safety and/or training certifications/experience
