What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soil Team Coordinator/Team Lead position at Bay Towel Inc?
Are you ready to grow your leadership skills and make a direct impact? Do you value working in a company that values teamwork and a family-like environment? Bay Towel has an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Department Team Lead. This role follows a Monday-Friday schedule, 1pm-9pm.
The responsibilities would include, but are not limited to the following:
- Employees understand whom they report to and how they can communicate their questions/needs.
- Processes are in place for effective communication with all employees on a regular basis.
- The Hispanic Liaison person is used as necessary to ensure understanding.
- The physical work environment is as comfortable as possible and that al tools/equipment are in proper working condition.
- Company policies and guidelines are always being followed.
- Set the example by properly and professionally wearing your uniform and ensure that all employees are doing the same.
- Employees are following the established recycling programs in place in the plant.
- Lead by example. Make safety a part of everything you say and do.
- New employees are adequately trained on safety specific issues within the department.
- Areas of the departments are as cleaned and organized as possible.
- Provide, train and follow-up that proper techniques are being used by all employees to reduce/eliminate ergonomic injuries.
- Safety compliance programs are in place and are being followed.
- When required, ensure accident reports are filled out completely, turned into the HR department, and immediately communicated to Manager.
- Monitor machines and teammates to ensure the department is being as productive as possible. Provide daily feedback to Manager.
- Proper PPE is being used while handling all types of soiled product.
- Provide consistent feedback during a new employees training period to ensure they can be as successful as possible.
- Communicate machine issues and work with maintenance on resolving issues as needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time , non-exempt position working 40 hours a week. Overtime as necessary.

Qualification Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED.
- At least 1 year experience in manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills.
- Positive attitude & commitment to team development.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Attention to detail. Must be able to multitask.
Preferred:
- Associate Degree in relevant area.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse work team.
- Bilingual skills (English Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Strong safety orientation.
- Computer proficiency.
- Self-motivated & energetic.
- Previous leadership experience .
