Job Summary:
As a Front Office Veterinary Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients and their pets. You will be the first point of contact for clients and will be responsible for scheduling appointments, managing records, and handling payments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets and provide excellent customer service
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment book
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails, voicemails, and other inquiries
- Check-in clients and their pets and update patient records
- Process payments, including cash, credit card, and online payments
- Maintain and update electronic medical records and ensure all client information is accurate and up-to-date
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized front office area
- Provide assistance to the veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in business or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or medical office preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with clients and their pets
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office and veterinary practice management software
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures preferred
Salary and Benefits: The salary for a Front Office Veterinary Receptionist varies depending on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
