Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and private residences. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with autism and those requiring memory care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities (ADLs), ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers; safely lift and reposition as necessary.
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer first aid as needed and follow safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in hobbies or interests.
Experience
- Familiarity with caring for individuals with autism or memory care needs is a plus.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and transferring clients safely.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
