Support Individuals with Autism and Disabilities
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to support individuals with autism, intellectual, or developmental disabilities in various locations including Waimea, Kohala, Kona, Ocean View, Pahala, and Hawi. This rewarding role offers flexibility around your availability, client matching per your skill and comfort level, and competitive pay based on experience ($17 and up).
Key Responsibilities
As a caregiver, you will:
- Spend time on the client's favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities, errands, and appointments
- Patiently teach, encourage, and celebrate small achievements
- Provide personal care assistance as needed
Requirements
We prefer one year experience working with clients with intellectual and development disabilities but do not require it (paid training provided). A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Our ideal candidate will be caring for a family member, Direct Support Professional, Habilitation Technician, Personal Care Aide, Paraprofessional, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Nurse's Aide, or Caregiver.
