We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Attorney to join our team as a Senior Counsel, Legal Services. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in managing professional, general, and employment-related litigation, with a focus on medical malpractice/professional liability claims.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage high-risk professional and general liability claims, focusing on healthcare-related matters.
• Partner closely with outside counsel when needed, providing in-house litigation support.
• Develop and implement defense strategies, conducting research and preparing for mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Ensure efficient claim resolution while supporting the organization's mission and reputation.
Requirements:
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on file management experience in a law firm or in-house health care environment.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and external counsel.
• Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook programs, along with matter management software.
• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
