Job Summary
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team in Oxon Hill, Maryland. As a member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients in their homes.
About the Role
This full-time opportunity involves performing home visits for adult and geriatric clients on a per-visit basis. You will work independently, managing your time effectively and making sound clinical decisions to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for each client.
- Implement manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and other interventions as needed.
- Educate and instruct clients and their families on rehabilitative care and activities necessary for independent living.
- Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations in state-of-the-art electronic medical records.
Requirements
- A current VA Physical Therapist license.
- A minimum of one year of recent work experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Graduation from a program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
