About the Role
- This position involves providing high-quality speech therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in their homes throughout Somerset and Middlesex Counties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech pathology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients experiencing speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on evaluation results, physician's orders, and recommended goals.
- Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote independent living.
Qualifications:
- A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in NJ.
- Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or have equivalent educational requirements and work experience.
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
