Healthcare Specialist - Occupational Therapist
BAYADA Home Health Care seeks a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to provide expert home health care services to individuals in need.
Chief Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' functional status and develop customized intervention plans to optimize their health and well-being.
- Examine clients' home environments to identify potential hazards or obstacles to independent living and propose suitable solutions.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address clients' unique needs.
- Educate patients, family members, or caregivers on essential rehabilitation techniques and strategies to promote overall health and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, interventions, and progress towards established goals.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Maryland.
- Desirable but not mandatory: prior experience in home care settings.
- A minimum of one year of recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
- Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA.
- Strong ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks efficiently, and possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, preferably including experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
