Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical wellbeing by providing treatment, tests, client education, and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Continually assess and revise the Physical Therapy care plan, participating with nursing in the multidisciplinary care plan as necessary.
Requirements
- Current licensure or certification in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.
- Graduation from a two-year college-level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, indicated by school transcript or diploma, or
- Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with satisfactory performance on a proficiency exam conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
- A minimum of one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist is required.
