We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at BAYADA Home Health Care.
Job Description
As a member of our home health care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and support. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with their physical therapy needs, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes and achieve optimal physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical wellbeing by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Continually assess and revise the Physical Therapy - PT care plan, and participate with nursing in the multidisciplinary care plan, as appropriate.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Current licensure or certification in the state of New Jersey.
- Graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, or
- Two years of appropriate experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
- At least one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.
