Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Home Health
About the Job:
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Iselin, New Jersey. As a PTA, you will work with adult and geriatric patients on a per-visit basis, providing personalized care and support to help them attain or maintain optimal physical well-being.
Responsibilities:
You will assist clients in their homes throughout Union County, Somerset County, Middlesex County, and Monmouth Counties, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing treatment and tests as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist
- Delivering client education and interventions tailored to each patient's needs
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
- Documenting patient progress and outcomes
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- CURRENT LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION IN THE STATE OF NJ
- A TWO-YEAR COLLEGE LEVEL PROGRAM APPROVED BY THE AMERICAN PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION, AS INDICATED BY SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT OR DIPLOMA, OR
- TWO YEARS OF APPROPRIATE EXPERIENCE AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA) AND A SATISFACTORY GRADE ON A PROFICIENCY EXAM CONDUCTED, APPROVED OR SPONSORED BY THE U.S. PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE WHEN INITIAL QUALIFICATION OCCURRED BEFORE DECEMBER 31, 1977
- AT LEAST ONE YEAR'S WORK EXPERIENCE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A QUALIFIED PHYSICAL THERAPIST
