Job Title: Occupational Therapist for Home Healthcare
BAYADA Home Health Care seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide home health visits throughout Southern Anne Arundel & Calvert County.
About the Role
- Assess client functional status and develop individualized intervention plans to achieve favorable outcomes through home visits.
- Evaluate home environments for hazards or barriers to independent living, identifying equipment needs and environmental adaptations.
- Continually assess and revise occupational therapy care plans, participating in multidisciplinary care planning as needed.
- Educate patients, family members, or representatives on rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote health, safety, and independent living.
- Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations related to patient care management and services provided.
Requirements
- A current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
- Prior home care experience preferred but not required.
- A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, with strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid computer skills, with prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
