Job Description
As a Physical Therapist with BAYADA, you will have the opportunity to work with adult and geriatric clients on a per-visit basis, assessing and treating their physical needs in the comfort of their own homes. You will be part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, enabling them to receive the medical care required to remain at home.
Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits to assess clients' physical needs and develop personalized care plans
- Perform diagnostic tests and measurements, such as mobility assessments and strength evaluations
- Implement integumentary protective interventions to prevent wound formation and promote wound repair
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including manual therapeutic exercises and gait training
- Continuously assess and revise care plans, participating with nursing in the multidisciplinary care plan as needed
- Educate clients and their representatives on rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote their health, safety, and independent living
Qualifications
- Current PA Physical Therapist license
- Graduation from a program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
